What I Do

Your child will also have the opportunity to gain practice in language skills, math skills, fine motor, gross motor and self-help skills in a fun and positive manner.

Each child will receive weekly themes, crafts, story time, play time both inside and outside, special events and lots of Tender Loving Care. For the parents; you will receive daily reports for infants and toddlers, parent newsletters, parent meetings, Parent Date Night (dates to be decided by Mrs. Laurie), income tax receipts, support from your day care teacher and the comfort knowing your child is loved.

I am a qualified Early Childhood Educator with experience being an Assistant, E.C.E. teacher, and Supervisor in the day care field. I opened The Learning Playhouse in 1996 to allow me to stay home with my children and still be active in the profession I loves.

I am actively involved with my community as the Sunday School Co-orinator at my church as well as in the past a leader with Girl Guides of Canada.

I have my C.P.R. and First Aid certificate, Criminal Check, Wee Hands Sign Language Certificate and great references both professionally and personally.

I have a great sense of humour (as you can tell by my Bunny costume picture) and I have a lot of patience with my little day care friends.
